DINO DOES: The Curious Grammar Explorer
Once upon a time, there was a small Dino named Does. Does was a very curious dinosaur who loved to explore the world around him.
One day, he was walking through the forest when he noticed something strange. All of the other dinosaurs were speaking in a way that was different from what he was used to. They were adding an “s” to the end of all verbs.
Does was confused and didn’t understand why the other dinosaurs were speaking this way. He decided to ask his friend, a wise old owl, for help.
Does was curious and asked the owl to teach him more about this rule. The owl explained that when we talk about someone doing an action in the present tense, we add an “s” to the end of the verb if it is in the third-person singular form. For example, we say “he runs” instead of “he run.”
He practiced using the rule with his friends and soon was able to speak like the other dinosaurs.
However, he noticed that some of the other dinosaurs were making a grammatical mistake. They were using both “does” and “s” together, which is not correct.
Dino Does explained the rule to them and helped them understand how to use “does” for present-tense third-person singular verbs.
From that day on, Dino Does became known as the “Grammar Dino” and helped his friends and other dinosaurs learn about proper grammar. He continued to explore the forest.
