The Butterfly Called ING

There is a butterfly named ING. He is colorful and friendly. He has three best friends: the bees named ‘Is,’ ‘Am,’ and ‘Are.’

When something is happening now, the butterfly is always there, but he never goes alone. He always goes to the flower field, which has verbs with names like Run, Lie, Die, Sit, and Stop.

When he hears a noise, he tells his friends and quickly goes to the flower. They work hard together to make a correct sentence.

First, there is the subject, then one of his friends sits down. After that, the butterfly lands on the flower, adds ‘-ING,’ and makes it complete.
For example, in the sentence “I am doing my homework,” ‘I’ is the subject, ‘am‘ is the bee, ‘do‘ is the flower, and ‘-ING‘ is the butterfly.

When the butterfly lands on flowers with special names, he follows some rules.

If the flower’s name is Lie or Die, the butterfly changes the ‘ie’ to ‘y’ before adding ‘-ING,’ creating Lying and Dying.

For flowers like Sit or Stop, the butterfly doubles the last consonant, turning them into Sitting and Stopping.

By working together, the butterfly and his friends help create beautiful sentences that show what is happening right now!
